Students are one of the major stake holders of the school. They have a big say in teaching and learning process at school. Often, they fill up the feedback form about teaching in classes. The school exists because of them and for them. The whole activity revolves around students as Learners Own Academy is a student centric school.
Leadership qualities have to be inculcated from the very beginning. Hence student body comprises of class representatives even from the primary wing. Leadership here is not about powers but about responsibilities. It inculcates social and emotional growth of each student. Every year students are encouraged to fill up the nomination forms; they canvass and are voted for. Teachers also have a say in the election procedure. Students need to have a neat record and recommendation from teachers in order to contest elections or to get nominated.
